THE HEART BEHIND DWJD
About
David

David Higgins is a bi-vocational minister and the founder of Do What Jesus Did (DWJD), a ministry and movement dedicated to training, equipping, and activating everyday believers to do the works of Jesus. David has served in ministry most of his life starting at the age of twelve (12) in children's ministry. With over 30 years of hands-on ministry he's served in a variety of capacities within the local church. He's served as a deacon, small group leader, small group pastor, and church planter.

After years in traditional church environments, David became convinced that following Jesus was never intended to be limited to attending services, gaining biblical knowledge, or leaving ministry to a select few. Jesus called ordinary people to follow Him, equipped them, and then sent them out to continue His mission. That conviction became the foundation of DWJD. David has a passion to see believers move from simply knowing what Jesus did to actually doing what Jesus did. Through practical training, hands-on workshops, outreach, and discipleship, he equips Christians to proclaim and demonstrate the Kingdom of God through healing, deliverance, evangelism, and the power of the Holy Spirit.

At the heart of David's message is a simple belief: "Everyone gets to play." There are no "superstars" in the kingdom. Ministry isn't reserved for pastors, missionaries, or people standing on a platform. Every believer has been called to represent Jesus wherever they go, at work, at school, in their neighborhoods, and in everyday life.

David's vision for DWJD is bigger than building another ministry or organization. It's about helping create a MOVEMENT of ordinary believers who live the mission of Jesus everywhere they go.

Don't just go to church. Be the Church. Don't just learn what Jesus did. Do what Jesus did. If your christian life is boring, you're not living it right! DWJD. It's more than a ministry. It's a MOVEMENT! David has been married to his wife, Rachel for 27 years and has 3 adult children and one grandchild.  You can reach David personally by filling out the form below for further information, or to start a conversation.
